Besides paying high attention to market exploitation, SWEDCC has also devoted itself to the accumulation of technological strength for a long term. Nowadays, SWEDCC has developed a series of core technologies on waterway, dredging, channel regulation, filling, and relevant aspects by means of continual innovation and improvement.

    SWEDCC has obtained a complete set of creative technological achievements of leading level in China on river-bed evolution analysis, waterway sedimentation research, application of numerical model, and optimized design scheme for waterway dredging, and has also built up its own characteristic disciplines in estuarine regulation projects as well as the design and research of coastal waterway projects. Therefore in recent years, the businesses of SWEDCC are always ranked at the top level among the companies in the industry.

    With creatively reforming the traditional diking methods during the engineering design exercise for land reclamation works, SWEDCC has carried out a large number of research activities in terms of technologies on bottom protection, dyke building, soft foundation treatment, ecological bank protection, and analysis of finite element structure, and meantime applied several patents for woven sand bag, reinforced sand quilt, and drainage sand quilt etc. These creative technological achievements are ranked at the leading level at home and abroad. Remarkably, the design technologies of geo-textiles and bagged sand are included in relevant design codes of the Ministry of Transport. During recent ten years, SWEDCC has accomplished over 1000 projects of different sizes and won more than 70 awards of national, ministerial and provincial level for excellent engineering survey and design as well as excellent technological achievements. Meanwhile, SWEDCC possesses over 10 patents and technical know-hows and has published nearly 100 papers on domestic and foreign core journals and academic conference, which makes important contribution to the development of water transport industry of China.
